Nice boat perry. I had a 17 ft logic and had the same problems. in my limited experience mounting two speakers inches apart is just like having one speaker(no stereo sound) I believe I ended up mounting one on each side of the cc and fabricated offset speaker housings that I mounted on the gunwales aft (didnt want to cut big holes in my boat) wish I had pics for you but I dont, btw im no expert but it worked for me

Yeah I don't want to turn my boat to Swiss cheese ! Lol but I have 4 speakers so I might mount two in the c.c and two under the leaning post on the rear deck on the vertical panel I figured I always cut out more and could mount a starboard door for access to the rear storage if I take them out .

I like the location in pick 2. Can you get separation toward the bow where the bow seat is - or is that a full storage panel underneath with the access door that faces aft?

yeah its my gas tank and battery stow. i decided to put a pair one on each side of the c.c and the other pair like on picture 2 but almost behind the c.c. to protect them from wind if your in the front you can see 75% of the speakers like in picture three
