Glide On vs. Glide Wrap

Anyone have any experience with or comments about the comparative relative merits of these products:

Glide On (first pic) or Glide Wrap (second pic)

I've had the glide-ons. Those worked great for a few months but then they started collecting grit and eventually weren't slippery anymore, not to mention they scratched the gelcoat on the boat. I took them off and tried to smooth them out but no matter what I did, they were not slick anymore.
I removed them and it's carpet all the way for me now.

They's basically both the same thing, so it shouldn't matter. The glide on may be easier to install.

Best thing since sliced bread. I have glide-ons on 3 trailers right now - the first was installed about 8 years ago. I'm in fresh water on a good dock so I have no salt or sand issues. I've never cleaned them - in fact dunking the bunks in the river seems to make them self-cleaning. I've noticed they seem a little chalky on the part of the bunk that doesn't get submerged, and that seems to make them even slippier.
