I just jumped into my own rebuild a few months ago. This is the link to mine. It ain't easy, it ain't cheap, and it ain't purdy but the help to do it and do it correctly is surely here. Do a little browsing on restores, it will be very informative.

The above link, along with the three threads posted in his signature, will most likely teach you everything you need to know.

More information about your boat and a few pics would surely help the gurus advise you!

Re: tidecraft

Welcome boatangle,

You are definitely in the right place to get all the info you will need to do the job right...

The first thing we are going to ask for is pics...the more the better...they help us see what you see and better guide you...

Here is a link that will help you get your own, free photobucket account...
http://forums.iboats.com/boat-resto...r/how-tos-other-great-information-288451.html

There is also a bunch of great info at that link that you should peruse...

Keep an eye out to the signatures of the guys who post here on your thread...most of them will take you to their current or completed projects...

The more you read and learn, the easier it will become to understand why we will ask what we ask and do what we do...

The other thing is to make sure you do a thorough core sampling of all the substructure of the boat, if there is wood in there, and it has seen a season or two or more out in the elements, there is a real good chance that you are looking at a lot more than just some decking needing replacing...

Best of luck and have fun!
