engine slow down

I have a 2000 200 hp Yamaha saltwater series motor that when I get up on plane at 24 knots it slows down to 10 knots could it be the fuel pump water pump is working fine

It could be a lot of things. Don't run it near W.O.T. until you have the problem figured our or you can destroy the engine. Compression. Spark. Fuel quality and delivery. Oil delivery and quality (water gets in her too).

That engine has two fuel pumps. If one fails, it will do as you described. Jump up on plane then fall on its face.
