I used to have a old Johnson 85 hp that had a cover on the lower unit that you would unscrew and then replace it with a adapter plate that had a hose connector on it. My 25 hp has what looks like the same design, right now I have to fill up a trash can and flush the motor every week. Does anyone know if they sell a adapter for this motor? It has no where to place the suction cup type.

Tempo at one time built a flusher for that mtr that would clamp on the back of the anti-ventilation plate and feed the water pickup screen. I don't know if you can find one anymore or not.

If this is what I am thinking / picturing, that little intake - about 2" x 1", someone on here once posted - Just fab that plate to bolt or screw right in with a water hose male end secured in it. Make out of aluminum, drill a hole and JB Weld the water hose fitting in the hole.

That might work if you have enough water flow. Remember, most of the water will run out the intake screen. But if you have enough, it may feed the pump too.

I have one of the Tempo Flushettes, but I'm not parting with it.

EDIT: Oops, hold on. You say 2" x 1"? The water bypass plate is considerably longer than 2". You wouldn't be looking at the shift connector access plate, would you?

Hey F_R I have one of those flushers too, but I'm not parting with it either. To bad they stopped making them.

I have a '76 Johnson 25 hp. A direct replacement for the flushette is the Honda Water Mouth Kit (part no. 06190-881-860). Got one online for $13.85 + shipping.
