Chrysler 4 hp 1984, same as 8/'82-'83 ?

Are the manuals for 8/82 the same as 8/83? 1984 was the last year for this motor and I can find all sorts of manuals for the year before, but have yet to find a 8/83 or 8/84...?

I am looking for a service manual for my Chrysler 4 hp, 1984, M# VWB 52004F, serial #48X 24090. (43C4L)

Just purchased last fall for 10' duck boat. Like new condition except it was put away 15 years ago full of fuel. Lots of lacquer thinner and a carb cleaning, seals ok. It fired right up (impeller still pumping) and ran great every time out last fall.

The 4 is a single cyl. The 8 is a 2 cyl. Parts manuals are gonna be different.
The 82 manual and 83 manuals are probably gonna be real close.

Thanks for the reply. My biggest concern is changing carbs from one year to the next. This carb. Has a float. Assist spring that was desighned by an engineer that that never slept.

Murphy's Law may be why I can't find a manual, but I can see Chrysler saying the heck with a last year in production, just use the old one... Did any one get that memo?

boats . net has parts diagrams. Go there and compare part#s.
The jets might be a different size but that shouldn't matter that much on a 4
No, Chrysler was as good as any other manufacturer and made manuals for everything they made.

Part # cross was a great idea, all is the same so far.

I just found a 82-83 service manual for 12.95 so after this one arrives, one for a 83-84 will show up for sale.
