Liver wrapped in panty hose

Ive used chicken liver in my short fishing life to catch catfish and it has worked out quite well. I do get aggrevated when I lose the bait on cast but a buddy said to use panty hose to wrap the chicken liver in to keep it on. Has anyone every tried this before and does it work?

Yes, it works and I have used cheese cloth too. I have a theory big bait = big cats.

Use spawn sack cloth instead of panty hose, the mesh is bigger and and it exposes more liver juices to the water for a more natural appearance and smell.

Yes it works, Check your state regs,some states does not allow that pratice anymore.

Guys, I never would have thought of this; a big tip of the hat to you. I may try liver again (for fishing anyway).
