Holes in fiberglass

I purchased a 14' 74 mfg fiberglass boat recently and there are a few drilled holes in the transom from 3/8" to 1/16". There is also a chip the size of a nickel and 1/16" deep on the bow which will sit below the water. What should I use to fill the holes. Below is a link to an epoxy at GanderMountain that I was thinking of using but wasnt sure if that is the correct product for the application. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Holes in fiberglass

If those holes have been left open in your transom for a while you may have a rotten transom.

Post pics of your boat for the best help.

Re: Holes in fiberglass

I have the boat in storage a couple hours away from my house so unfortunately it will be a while until I am able to get pictures. The holes are above the waterline when the boat is in water though. Also with this being a fiberglass boat how would the transom be rotten? Is there wood underneath the fiberglass? If the transom is not rotten, would you the product I had linked in the original post be sufficient for patching the holes and chip?
Thanks
Clayton
