Trolling motor minnkota v2 55, with i-pilot

I recently purcahsed a minnkota v55 trolling i-pilot
When i turned on the remote control the only sings on It Was the motor power from 0 to 10
The rest of the information such as GPS s?gn d?d not appear
The only butanos that work are left and rigth the rabbit button and the power button the rest do not work
What coluda be happening

Where were you at when you powered the unit on..i.e. on land or in the water? For the GPS function to operate properly it must have a clear view to the sky and not be inside or in a building.

I have an MK w/i-pilot and in order for the remote to FULLY work, the motor must be DEPLOYED OUTSIDE and the green light (system on light) on the motor, must be lit. If the motor is not deployed the remote will not operate properly. If your TM was deployed (in the water) I would check the condition of the battery inside the remote first. If just purchased, maybe contact where you purchased it from being its just new.
