Hey Guys.

I am redoing the seats for my 1987 Bay-liner and I was wondering if it would be ok to use OSB board for the bottom of my seats? Let me know what you think!

Thanks

Not going to hold up long in a marine environment.

Exterior grade BCX sealed with epoxy resin would be a better choice if you want them to be long lasting.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... OSB has NO place on a boat, Period....

Plywood, of whatever grade ya wanta use is pretty much the minimum...

Sealed with resin is even better, again, regardless the grade ya choose...

From a 20+ year upholsterer....NO. Go with starboard if you don't mind spending the $$$. If not, 5/8" or better ply with a water sealer.
