Here are photos of starter I don't know where the three black wires attach to the starter. One large wire and two smaller
diameter thanks chuck

There should be a big red wire that goes from the terminal on the starter solenoid that has the loose nut on it to the terminal on the starter. The black wires all go to any good ground on the mtr block. They normally went to a stud on the block in the starter area.
