Lost tilt on Yamaha 150 HPDI

I hear the tilt motor running on my starboard outboard, but the motor will not tilt. Any suggestions?

Manual release is open, you lost all fluid, or the connector between motor shaft and pump can apart.
At least that is what comes to mind right off

I would guess loss of fluid if he hasn't been messing with it. Never seen the manual release back out on its own and never seen the pump coupling break.
You may want to see if you can raise the drive manually while someone presses the up switch. I doubt if you will get the manual release to unscrew. Anyway, get the drive up where you can get the fill screw out, then add transmission fluid till its full. Then retry your tilt.
