I picked up a free Elgin 2hp and have no spark.
Coil was sitting loose with no wires connected when I removed flywheel. Coil checks bad and points are shot too.
Compression is good.
I need a schematic and part numbers for this mag.
I know it's probably worthless but I'd like to get it running.

I have a parts list and operating manual for an Elgin model no 571.58401 12 pages long covers starting and operating carespecificationspower head carb magneto stern bracket motor leg gear housing all with pictures and part numbers This appears to be an original dealer manual If you are intrested in this manual I will sell it to you for $15.00
