The engine is a 94 Mercruiser 3.0L Ser OF144391. The manifold that came off was the old style, i am being told by my local Marine Dealer that the manifold in the pic is the correct one to replace the old one that had end caps. The exhaust ports for Cylinders 2 & 3 do not have the divider in them, and the gasket that came with the manifold fits the ports on the manifold but on the engine the gasket covers up the lower 1/3 of the port. Is this the correct manifold for this engine?

Impossible to say if it's the right one or not by a picture, what is the PN for the manifold.

The part number I ordered was 860235A03. My local Sea Ray dealer states this is obsolete and the 1 piece manifold is a direct replacement. That number on the side of the manifold is 860235 and the rest is hard to read but i think it says 003 or something along those lines.

That is the newest number for your engine. It's been superseded about half a dozen times since the original PN.

PS, the serial number you posted is for a V8

2.5L vs the 3.0L . 2.5 is open between 2 & 3,
3.0 is divided between 2 & 3

2.5L vs the 3.0L

No, as I said before, the number is the newest superseded number for the proper manifold for his engine.

Besides, the last 2.5 was in 89.

Correction on Engine SerialNumber. Engine Serial Number is OF144286 per Flame arrestor cover.
