Hi guys, is it feasible to remove the styrofoam out of the center seat box in a 14 ft Alumacraft and build a livewell in there?

I'd keep the seat and make one of these...

Sure, I did something similar in my 14' jon boat in the center seat bulkhead, for storage instead of a livewell though. It's floatation foam, so make sure to put back the same volume you removed. In my boat, there was a lot of dead space around the block of foam, so I cut up 2" foam and created a cavity where the block used to be. I wouldn't make a big livewell since water is heavy.

That's a cool idea. Though I wouldn't make it out of a black box as it will cook the fish/bait. OR, paint the box white or a light color.

I converted a hand gun case into a hanging soft plastic lure box and painted it with light tan "plastic paint" so my lures wouldn't cook and deform. After 3-4 years the paint is still in good condition, I though it would start peeling off, but it didn't.

I was looking at different setups for a portable live well earlier today. I found a big ol' Igloo cooler and was looking at using it.

I'm leaning towards the Catch saver type aerator system, or like. Portable, easy to switch between the boats. Self contained.
