03 cobia 174 fuel gauge not working

I have a 03 cobia 174 that I bought used last year and gas gauge has not worked since I got it. Wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to trouble shoot this. I can not find access port to the gas tank. Any help on how to get to the tank or gauge wires at the tank or just trouble shooting would be great.

Thanks for the link. It will be very helpful. My big problem is that I cannot find a access port to the sender unit on the gas tank. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right spot. I do not see any ports in the floor anywhere. Could someone please tell me how to get to the sending unit. Thanks again.

Check the area under the splashwell.
