Hello im looking to buy a 1998 procraft 205, it has a mercury 225 efi... What should the compression read for a healthy outboard. What should I look for wen doing my insection.

Service manual states 90-110 psi per cylinder. Check gearcase for water intrusion and a lake test for sure ....

Cool. The boat needs new upholstery. The gel coat is a Lil dull, the lower unit was replaced about a year ago. The current owner is a pro angler so it is we used. Did not have an,hour gauge for the outboard. what shod I feel comfortable paying, what is to much?

I am going to have a Mechanic with much more experience w marine engine s... Ill let yall know my findings. I hope the compression is good. Bu also the current owner is pro angler... Im sure the hours are up there if it had a gauge....how much oil residue is acceptable on the poweread..

Very little , if its a lot it has bleed lines leaking....
