What make and model is it ?
It is normal for some motors to expel water through the exhaust.
The johnson/evinrudes will spit water through the exhaust outlet under the powerhead.

Where do you think the cooling water goes after circulating through the engine? Gotta dump somewhere so don't worry until it quits coming out the exhaust.

Most of the smaller Yamahas have a mist of water come out of the idle relief ports when idling , not sure about the larger motors.
I worried about my second hand C40TLRX as it had none and still does not have any and it has run fine for several years
