I have a bass tracker with a 50 HP Johnson High Performance motor. Rats chewed all the wires leading from my gear shift/ignition to my motor with power trim. The trim was working on the motor until I got all the wires wired back together and taped. Now my motor will not even turn over and my power trim does not work. We can not find where the power to the motor/trim comes from a fuse box, only from the battery. I have checked all the connections to the battery. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a hot wire that goes to the motor that I am missing or maybe a fuse in the wiring of the motor? Any help would be appreciated.

You have a motor issue more than a boat electrical issue, so I will move this over to the Johnson/Evinrude forum.
You will also get better results if you post the engines model number and year.

Those dirty rats! I'd track down the rat(s) responsible & make them repair the damage ...

Well, that or get a wiring diagram ...

Check the fuse under the cowl close to the starter solenoid; maybe blown. Good luck.

^^^^^^^

Will's barkin' up the right tree.......for starter

In the future, place a small, open container of Decon under the cowl during lay-ups.
