Hey all,
I am planning on replacing the timing belts on twin f250's. I have done timing belts on car engines but not these. Is there any advice out there for me, pitfalls to avoid?

Never did one myself, but think I would get my hands on a Yamaha service manual for those motors and follow the info it gives

Oh yeah, don't dare attempt without an honest to God yamaha manual. You are going to need a special puller to get the flywheel off without damaging it. There there is a lot of alignment marks you got to have dead on the money or you will distroy the engine quickly. I just looked and there was 4 pages dealing with timing belt replacement.

Be sure you do not run the flywheel puller bolts in too far or you can damage the coils under it. The Yamaha puller has shoulders on the bolts to keep from going in too far.
