I was draining the fuel out of the carburetor bowls and I noticed there was no Air Filter; is this correct? I tried to find the part online but none of the diagrams even show one.

There are no air filters on the engines. That was done on smaller hp engines many years ago biut found later on that it created more problems than it solved..... dirty, gets clogged somewhat, acts as a choke of sorts, causes fuel flow changes, etc.

So stop looking for it :)

Thanks Joe. Definitely looks strange without some kind of filter in there. I'm sure many folks have found uninvited guests in there if their boats have been sitting for any length of time.

I always seem to get uninvited guests in the tell tale pipe.
never had any in the carb though.

But ive often wonder why no k&n type filter for the air intake.
