I just rebuilt the carbs on my 3 cyclinder 75 horse Mariner. One thing I notice, there was nothing in the location that the service manual calls for the Bowl Vent Jet. It is the hole by the idle needle.

None of the carbs had anything in that hole.

Am I missing somthing or is this only in certain models?

I have basically the same WME carbs on my '02 90 triple and it has nothing in that hole.

There should not be nothing there as it is a vent hole for the carb bowl and will gas will come out of it if the float needle sticks open and lets the float and needle drop down a to let gas in when the bowl needs more gas. JMO
