I have a 1989 Sea Ray 220 DA with 350 Mercruiser. I removed the 2 drain plugs in the bottom of the engine. Some water came out, but not nearly as much as I was expecting. Are there other plugs or hoses that need opened to make sure that all water is out?

Thanks

Re: Winterizing

Stick a wire, nail, or screw in the hole and make sure it's not plugged up.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,... Bein' that the drains are at the bottom of the cavity, they build up with crud,...

Poke, 'n prod 'em with a nail or screw to knock the crud outa the way, 'n they'll drain...

There's also a drain on the bottom of each exhaust manifold, just above the block drains,...

The P/S Cooler is in the in-comin' raw water line, 'n it needs drainin'... pull 1 of the big hoses off it,...

And,... Pull the Big hose off the circulatin' water pump, it hides 'bout another quart...
