Do I have this wired correctly? I am going to go get new studs and nuts tomorrow I just want to make sure this is correct. I am missing a tiny stud on the bottom right, it snapped so I didn't put it back in.

Also I took a picture of when it was on but its blurry, where do the wires go from the engine to the alternator? There is a purple wire and a red 12v wire. I also saw a ground but it wasnt hooked up before.

That isn't the OEM alternator, but here is a picture of how to wire it.
Your big red wire will go to the B terminal, the newer engines used an orange wire.
You can then use a smaller gauge (14ga.) wire from B to S
You may have a brown wire where it shows purple in my drawing.

Ok I got it hooked up. I think its toast, my battery reads 12.12 volts when off and only 12.38 volts when running. Its better than it draining i guess . Good news is I was able to idle the boat for 10 minutes and she runs a lot better now.

I don't have a wire hooked up to the S terminal. When i received the boat there never was one hooked up. Should I make a wire going from the S to the 12 volt line as it shows in the diagram?
