1999 VIP Vindicator 2400

I have just purchased a 1999 VIP Vindicator 2400 and the shocks on the sunpad are missing. Does anyone know what the length, weight capacity and type of shock? Anyone have the part number and where I can purchase them? Thanks,

wecolme to iboats! if you post a photo it would be easier to see exactly what you need .
how big a pad(s) do ya have?
My pad is a small 2 piece that meets in the center and uses hatch back car struts.motor hoist.jpg
some use electric lifts.

Thanks for your reply!! My pad is one piece and huge probably 2.5 -3 ft wide by approx 6 ft. I know it had some kind of gas shock on it that measures 18" pin to pin when the hatch is open problem is I do not know the strength so I am hoping to get the part number to get the right strength.

If you can't find the exact shock or gas prop (I think that is what they are called) go to a shop that sells toppers, trailers, campers, etc. and they will have the shock you need. At some shops they will have new or used ones that you can get cheap.

the struts have different tensions & lengths use a fish weighing scale to see what kind of capacity you need.
