Outboard Oil

I have 2000 Ficht 175hp,and wanted to know what the best oil I should be using and if i have to do anything else if I were to switch oils.Any recommendations will be welcome.

Welcome to iboats. :)

You must use an oil specific to DFI engines. Any BRP dealer can recommend one and probably sell it to you.

If you do not have a Factory Service Manual or even a User Manual you are severely handicapped. Get one or both.

Bombardier sells an XD50 oil, specifically designed for their Ficht direct inject outboards. It's a synthetic blend and has a carbon-reducing additive in the oil. It's for high loads and performance applications. It's moderately priced, compared to their XD100 oil, which is an option for their newer Etech engines.
