Hi All

Well, my transom is rotted and needs to be replaced. Good times ahead.

First step is to pull the engine.

Any links to images / videos for OMC guidance on pulling a 5.0 motor? I see stuff on Mercruser but have not found OMC yet.

Probably not much different. Disconnect only what needs to be disconnected, pull the drive and fly the engine out.

Disconnect:
Battery(s)
Fuel Line(s)
Electrical wiring from boat to engine components
Exhaust
Water line from outdrive
Top motor mount nuts
Outdrive/shifter cable connection

Not much more when I did mine.
