Hello
Does any one know if a 1995 merc 175 hp will have the same bolt hole pattern as a 1990 225 evinrude, i blew up my motor,{ lack of oil on one cylinder/ Winter rebuild }and need a quick replacement a friend of mine has a 1995 175 merc to get me on the water will the pattern bolt right up? the motor is a 100 miles away so i caint look thanksJD

Yes. It will bolt right up. The controls, electrical cable and cables will need to be changed.
