One brother is right in to Rods.
He tells me Ford have unveiled new body shells for the 1940 Ford Coupe.
You apparently can get an original Flathead V8 too.
You guys aware of this, and any idea of the costs - you got access to Fords Restoration Prices?
I have believed for years, someone is going to make an absolute killing doing something like this on a commercial scale.

Cheers
Phillip

Ford does not make them, but Ford has licensed them as Authentic replica's just as it did with the Mustang bodies thru Dynacorn. The '40 looks like it's getting built by Ford restoration parts

I hope not:eek:

I can remember back in the 60's putting together two Henry J's with V-8's and having to look at ten blocks in the junkyards until we could find an 85hp without a crack between the two close exhaust ports. Would love to have one of the coupes on modern rolling stock. Would make the ideal mate for my buddies 40 pick up with the small block Chevy.
