1989 Evinrude 6 cyl 200HP.
Tested both sides of stator (brn to brn yel, and brn/wht to brn/blk) and one side showed low voltage ~97 V with peak meter, other side 190 V. Supposed to be greater than 150 V. Also no spark on 2,4,6. Good spark on 1,3,5.
Power pack to ignition coils showed similar readings. Power pack going to coil 2,4,6 showed ~97V and power pack to 1,3,5 showed ~190 V. So I thought power pack was probably ok , it just wasn't getting enough voltage from stator.
I changed the stator and problem has now moved to other side. No spark on 1,3,5. ????
Any ideas on this one ?
