Anyone ever try to fabricate, or, use another cooling tube for this engine? Use something from a 454 or make one? I know, maybe too much cooling you say, but, I would rather run cool that overheat this type of aluminum block.

I have 470 twins in a Searay. I put 4" heat exchangers on both and now no problems. You can get them from Kevin at Breezeworks in Clearwater. Google Breezeworks and his site will come up. I've bought a bunch of 470 parts from him, never had a prob.

Hmmm, I just went there and his parts section is looking kinda sad. Not sure if he is doing so great there is nothing or problems have risen. I hope all is good... Okay, need to go check out more there.
