my buddy has the 350 hp i/o for his 98-99 crownline. he has been priming the line at the start of the day 7-8 pumps. it had been starting the day fine, but after dropping anchor for a few hours upon restart it dies out while idleing after 5-6 seconds. Now you can't start it at all unless the throttle is half open at 1500 rpms so you can't put it in neutral to get to F or R. all he rain in the northeast lately has been hard on his bad covers and maybe thats a problem. I don't know how long its been since hes had work done on the carb or had fuel filters changed. what should I do to start my troubleshooting?
