I have an etec 25 and have been trough two props now. What would make the blades on the prop bend forwards (toward the transom)? I had it out for an hour yesterday and the prop is bend forwards??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The only thing I can think of is a little slop in the shaft allowing the prop to slip out and hit the anode fin in reverse.
You probably need to use a hosting site to do pictures.
Again does the prop look like it is hitting something?
If you were to back through sand a or dense mud it might fold the blades.
Perhaps someone is messing with you.
It was a brand new prop when I put it on. I took it out for maybe and hour. I was in a little bit of sand on a sandbar for a minute but never put it in reverse. I'm confused too because if I would have hit something I would think it would bend the blades away from the transom.
It only takes a few seconds pushing sand to do the job. There would also be some paint missing on all the blades equal to the depth the blades were immersed in the sand.
