I have an etec 25 and have been trough two props now. What would make the blades on the prop bend forwards (toward the transom)? I had it out for an hour yesterday and the prop is bend forwards??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

photo? Hitting bottom will make blades bend forward, like going through sand.

Pictures would help. Is there no indication it is hitting something?
Is it a BRP prop? Aluminum or stainless?

It's a aluminum powertec 13 pitch. I don't know how to add pictures from phone.

The only thing I can think of is a little slop in the shaft allowing the prop to slip out and hit the anode fin in reverse.
You probably need to use a hosting site to do pictures.
Again does the prop look like it is hitting something?
If you were to back through sand a or dense mud it might fold the blades.
Perhaps someone is messing with you.

Pics. Hitting someting will not bend the blades towards the transom. Confused.

Re: Need help with props

It was a brand new prop when I put it on. I took it out for maybe and hour. I was in a little bit of sand on a sandbar for a minute but never put it in reverse. I'm confused too because if I would have hit something I would think it would bend the blades away from the transom.

Powering forward through sand will bend the tips towards the transom.

It only takes a few seconds pushing sand to do the job. There would also be some paint missing on all the blades equal to the depth the blades were immersed in the sand.
