When I let my boat set for a day or two my lift will not work. I can tap on the lift motor and it will begin to work. I need to know if anyone has had this problem. Thanks

Sounds like a dirty PTT motor. They can get dirt on the brushes

Re: trim motor trouble

i wouldn't invest too much time or hope. sticking brushes usually means rust and rust usually means bad bearings. By the time you buy brushes and bearing at mercury prices then you may as well just buy a new chinese motor. slather the Ling Cheep trim motor with half a can of flex seal and it's not a bad motor. Hunt iboats. google, amazon, ebay and you should find a suitable motor in the $100 range.

PTT motors have bushings. Bushings are not usually replaceable. Brushes may be avail. Clean everything up and see how it goes.
