Re: Noise in volvo penta outdrive?
the engine runs fine, i just had the outdrive serviced. i checked the fluid level myself before i took my boat out, it was overfull so i called the repair and told them that it was overfull and i was told that it would be ok. its kinda hard to describe the noise, sounds like a knocking noise to me. is there a normal amount of noise due to the gears turning. if the gimbal bearing is going bad, what kind of noise would it make?
