hi guys i have a question, my boat project is coming along well, i painted it, i am currently building a storage box/seat, it has been carpeted, and now my buddy gave me an evinrude VRO for free, 40 horse. No controls, or anything, however the shifter/throttle box from my lark has 2 levers, and the VRO calls for a single lever. But i see two different linkages on the engine, and i have hooked it up, and it seems to actuate the linkages just fine. I have two concerns, my boat is rated for up to a 50 horse, and unlike my lark that clamps on, the VRO bolts on. The transom mounting plate is nearly as large as the transom, is this okay? I figured i would do 6 bolts, and steel plates to tie them in on the back side, to help disperse the force, and weight out a little bit better. The next question is i need a wiring harness, and i cant find one. Am i going to have to hard wire it? thanks for the help guys!!!!
