1990 evinrude 40hp impeller installation

I have 1990 40 horse evinrude model # E40TLESR. Can anybody tell me the steps to changing the impeller or where I can find these steps. Any help will be appreciated.

You can find the steps in an OEM Factory Service Manual.

I just need to know about unhooking the shifter linkage. everything else I am good with.
any suggestions? do not have manual.
