I have a 1988 mercury 150 xr4 that was not firing on # 1 cyl. I swaped the coil with # 2 cyl. and ran motor.
Now the dead cyl. moved to #3. Any ideas why the dead cyl. moved.
Sounds like you need to make sure all the wiing connections are clean and tight. Next go on the CDIElectronics web site and run the troubleshooting procedure for your ADI ignition.
