I really hope someone can help me pinpoint this issue.
My 2007 Vmax 200HP runs perfect, with the exception in the last couple months on seldom occurrences, usually when on plane, it will "kick" as if it lost power for a fraction of a second then continue to run fine after that. This weekend in a tournament it did it when trying to plane out and actually caused the motor to shut off 3 times in a row when trying to get on plane. After the third attempt when I tried to start the motor, absolutely nothing happened when I turned the key. I jumped it over to the trolling motor batteries and it started and ran fine...it just doesn't make any sense to me.
I know one of the spark plug wires came unseated and occasionally comes out. Is it possible this cylinder is missing a spark causing the motor to kick once and a while?
