1986 Johnson 50hp tell tale

Just bought a used pontoon with 50hp Johnson. Does motor not have a **** stream or am I missing it? If it doesn't, how can I make sure it's not running hot?

It does have a pee stream (on the starboard side) near the back. Have you run the motor yet?

Yea, bought it real cheap for the pontoons, so when I bought it, checked to see if it'd run & that was all. Ran it a couple times since then is when I noticed water coming out all around midsection of motor but no stream of water

Boy, the more I learn the dumber I feel. Looked at model # & it's apparently a 75 model, not 86 like I was told. O well, where's the stream on a 1975 50hp?

no stream on a 75, you may see a bit of water come out of the two ports beneath the cowl.

Thank y'all. I know it starts as a mist out from those 2 ports & then more water will come out but it's not continuous is it? I look back & see water coming out, then a few minutes later, nothing
