Fall has always been one of my favorite times of year to be on the boat. After Labor Day there is less boat traffic, temps at night become comfortable for sleeping on the boat without the AC on, and the color change of the leaves is just beautiful.

A couple of weeks ago the Admiral and I went on our last long overnight cruise of the season up the Wolf River.
Google Map The total trip was almost 80 miles. We had great weather and beautiful fall colors.

Passing through Winneconne and heading up the Wolf River.

Yes fall time is the best time to enjoy. Its calm and relaxing rather than to boat in much traffic.

It's kind of cool to converse with like-minded people on the web. Yeah, it's cooler to sail at Fall season due to a nice temperature but sailors must take an extra safety precautions since a good weather can be deceiving. Lately, I have had a great time renting a boat in Miami, Florida. That was a unique experience. EDIT They're awesome!
