The kill switch in the side mount control box is bad. I jiggled it and the boat started jiggled it again no fire. How do I dissable it from the motor without taking the box apart?

Re: 1999 50 kill switch

like said above
and you realy do need a kill switch on any outboard engine.

its about the best safety device on your boat, even better than a prop guard.

ive seen many boats with owners falling overboard and engine keep going.

one of my friends had his inflatable with a 35hp going round him for over 30 minutes at full throttle.
if the engine had hit him he would of been chopped to bits.

maybe this pic will make you fix the kill switch, this guy didnt have one fitted.
