using degreaser on bilge

hi i was wondering my transom and bilge area are greasy and oily. can i spray them with gunk before i pull it apart to replace transom and stringers? jim

If you are gutting it anyway I dont think it would hurt. I have heard Simle Green works well.

i can do that...just so slimy i hate greasy stuff.

Can you Gunk and pressure wash under the hood of your car .. same thing but with a drain ;) .
