Hey fellas im new to this site. I found myself a 1983 lund pike 16 foot with a 40 hp mariner was in really rough shape had to tear the floor out and replace the wood and carpet and repair some pin holes in the aluminum floor with gluvit. any ways , im trying to find out what year my mariner is the model # is 40E 6E9L408669 made in japan, iv been told its a yamaha built for mercury and mercury slapped a mariner sticker on it but not too sure thats true. any info would be great.
