I have been having this issue for a while now and wanted some opinions please! My motot will start first turn of the key, idle and run fine at lower rpm's. A basic day will start with going from idle to wot, in turn the motor will jump to 3k to3.5k and then slowly ascend to a max of 5600 rpms and max out at 28 mph on a tracker pt 175. then after a few hours of running and fishing, it doesn't want to get on plane and maxes at 4k with the bow straight in the air. i can generally remedy this by moving the throttle from idle to wot a few times.. Then every now and then the motor will kick up over max rpm (6k) and jump to 33 mph.
I have taken it to a few mechs and have gotten the run around until lately. What the latest mech has found was that therevwas no error codes, but he did go through the fuel system and the filter in the high pressure pump was clogged and torn. I feel somewhat better that this may resolve the issue but is there anything else that I should have them look at.
