Hi all.
I have a starting problem with one of my omc/volvo 4.3 gi engine. The engine is a 1997 4.3lk.
The engine will start up fine, you can cruise for a couple of hours with no problems whatsoever.
When i stop and switch the engine off, she wont start for at least 20 minutes.
I have noticed the injectors are not spraying fuel, when the engine has rested approx 20 minutes she will start.
When i switch the ignition on i can hear the fuel pump prime up the same as my starboard engine, but something is stopping the two injectors spraying fuel for a short while. Has any one experince this problem, if so please let me know.
Remember as soon as the engine has restarted, she will run all day without a hitch. Thanks Paul.

What is the full model number (all those letters) or the serial number of your engine.

Next time you go to start and it won't, check to see if you have spark from the coil. Until the ECM gets a reference low signal from the distributor, it will not allow the injectors to fire or the pumps to come on. No reference low, no spark.

You also have an OMC, not a Volvo, so going to move it over to the OMC forum.

I didn't ask what you replaced, I asked you to check for spark when it won't start.
