115hp mariner 25inch to 20inch conversion cost?

I recently Brought a 2002 115hp mariner with a 25inch leg and i need 20 inch leg for my boat. My plan was to get a jackplate but i was wondering how hard the conversion was? and what the parts would cost?

The cost of a LU and midsection plus the labor to switch everything would probly cost more than getting a newer motor of the correct length for your needs. A jack plate or building the transon up would be alot cheaper otherwise.

selling that leg and midsection on ebay could bring you a good penny. Mostly I see the short 20 shaft parts and lowers. I myself would love to have the longer section to keep my powerhead up out of the water more. Seems that wake when throttling down always sprays the back of the motor rusting the lower plug. It,s alot of work to dissasemble the tilt bolt steering arm upper mounts lower mounts to npull the midsection. better to just get a short shaft midsection already put together and then get the LU. Good try Max but none of the listings you posted will work....To convert to 20" you will need the midsection,water tube,shift shaft and driveshaft. It will be cheaper to install a jackplate....
