1992 Johnson Intake Manifold Hose?

48422.jpgI purchased a boat this past weekend. Upon removal of the carbs, there is a hose coming off the bottom of the intake manifold which looks as if it has been disconected for some time. I looked for any places this hose could connect to. It is part number 30 on the diagram. Any help would be greatly appreciated.!

Forgot to mention, this a 40hp motor.

That line goes to the T in this picture #20 on your primer assembly if it is a rope start. This line actually pumps fuel directly into your intake manifold when you pump the primer knob for cold starting. The intake has a one way flat plate valve that allows fuel to go into the intake but not out so it is not a drain line. Get it hooked back up properly for better cold starting. If it is an electric start then it still goes to the electric primer pump.
