I am being charged $450.00 for a starter and install on a 1989 Citation. Interior is completely removed and starter in VERY easy to access. Does this sound reasonable? Bolts are new and threads were clean.

Re: OMC Starter install

Welcome to B.O.A.T world - Bust out another thousand!

Well i just had to say it..............

Had a issue with our starter last year (4 -cyl i/o Merc)...Unbolted it and took it to a Electrical repair shop and they rebuilt it for $140.00 bucks and i reinstalled for free. Have had no troubles all year.

When you can or able to do things yourself you can save a few buck's

Happy Boating!
