i looking at a boat with a 2002 mercury 150 hp 2 stoke (carb motor) i'm pretty good with the Yamaha OX-66 maintenance but this motor is new to me, couple questions: i have not inspected the motor yet
note: motor has about 200 hours on it
1 where can i purchase a hard copy of the shop manual........you can buy on line but you need to print it yourself.....that would kill a couple trees.
2 should compression be +/- 10-15% of 120 psi ,and other specific items i should check out on the pre-purchase motor checks? i will check lower unit for water.
3. what are the pro's and cons to this motor.
4.what type of mercury oil to use.
4 does this motor have low pressure fuel pumps and vst filter?
